Mai 1st gift for adek, 100% handmade with love

dulu2 lepas spm, selain dr pernah menjadi minah kilang sekejap, pernah jugak pegi kelas menjahit.. before that, i just learned a bit about sewing from KH class at school, some i learned from my mom & my sis, who also love to sew... when i was a little girl, my sis used to make my dress, my pajamas on her own... i wish i could put the picture here.. tp sume gmbr2 tu kat kg... dulu my sis taught me how to do tulang belut kat leher baju kurung johor, which nowadays susah nk cari org yg pandai wat... mostly letak kun jer(apa istilah canggih utk 'kun'?).. dulu, mak siap bg upah jahit tulang belut tu... tp skg dah lupa sbb dah lama xwat... tu la, ilmu bila tak diamal... ruginyerr rasa! kalau mak buat baju kurung, i'll be the one yg tolong wat kelim menggantikan jahit tepi.. cekal nyer daku masa tu.. i must say, i love sewing too..

and then, after seeing cik yam menjahit macam2 for ayra n everything is very the kiut miut .. terasa nk menjahit balik... hehehe..thankx cikyam.. u trigger my sewing mode back.. tp for a beginner like me, takkan tetiba nk wat baju kan? so, i was thinking of something more simple and easy to make without using machine of course. mana nk cari mesin jahit daa.. xkan tetiba jer terus nk beli... kena start dr bawah dulu... and so, i opt to make a pillowcase.. for adek! bantal baby rayyan onichan ada lagi.i decided to change the cover.

i bought the fabric 2weeks ago. a week to think of how am i gonna turn it into a pillowcase... googling websites and learning from the pillowcase that my mom made for rayyan(which was made without using machine,kagum!). a week to make the decision when to start making it, buying the tools and waiting for the mood to come...heheheh... kena ada mood baru masyukk. last sunday, we went for shopping..me shopping for sewing kits and emir shop for, ermmm... well, i'll tell you later about that,insyaAllah ;)

so, alhamdulillah today... tanggal 13 April 2010.. about a month away from adek's due date,the mood kicks in.. i started at 10pm. planning and measuring... started sewing at 11pm and the pillowcase was in shape by 12:30 midnight.buat kemasan tepi sbb tak jahit tepi about 30mins and my 1st masterpiece was done by 1 am.. hehehe... once i put my hands on it, it's just hard to let go... nk buat sampai siap... plan asal nk buat sikit2... tp bila tgk dia nk siap, makin excited pulak...
